Welcome to the 2009-2010 School Year
Imagine, it was nearly a decade ago that we were celebrating the big event of Y2K. As we transition from the '00s into the teens, technology continues to evolve at a rapid pace. BBT can help you keep up with some of the technologies that are part of our daily lives. We wish everyone a happy and successful school year.
Updated: Web Design Module
Fixed images.zip file to remove extra image folders that were sometimes created.
Removed page breaks in script file (four_seasons_text.docx) to reduce confusion over where the rest of the text is located.
H1N1 Reminder - Wash Your Hands
With the current concerns over H1N1, there's never been a more important time to keep washing your hands. Computers can be expecially nasty places for germs to hide. You might want to consider storing some hand sanitizer in your backpack. Another good idea is to cough into your sleeve. Check with your teacher for more information and remember; prevention is the best policy.
Transition to Office 2007 from Office 2003
For many of our schools, Office 2003 has been replaced with Office 2007. This means that some of the material here won't be as useful as it was before. We hope to update most of the material to be useful to people with either version of MS Office. We will post information about changes and updates here. Old module won't be removed, so if you're still using Office 2003 you can still use the original modules.
What is NBBBT?
This web site is home to a provincial initiative to provide modules for BBT classrooms. Please take your time and explore.
To search the web (and not just the NBBBT site), uncheck the NBBBT box.
Currently we have over 300 instructional videos as well as several guides and examples.
Portal Link
The accompanying Portal resources are available to teachers here.If you are not able to access this site, please send us an email... we'll add you to the group. You may need to log onto the Portal before trying the link. Do a search for BBT if you have trouble finding the page. You can also access the portal from the link on the top right of the site.
We Suggest
To get the most out of the site, we recommend that you use an up-to-date browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 7 or 8, Firefox 3). Some older browsers (notably IE6) have issues that impact the appearance of the site as well as the ability to select text. If possible, you should set your screen resolution to 1024x768 or above.
Please contact us with any questions or suggestions.
